One Day Ahead | Literature Resources for Teachers & Students
At One Day Ahead, we approach literature with unironic enthusiasm, treating great books as invitations to explore what it means to be human. Deep literary analysis isn’t just about themes and symbols—it’s empathy in disguise, a way of stepping into the lives of characters to see the world through their eyes.
📚 For Teachers & Students – Whether you’re leading a classroom discussion or tackling a book as an independent learner, our engaging teaching materials, guided video analysis, and free lesson plans make literature come alive.
Every book we study is a chance to think deeply, ask big questions, and discover new perspectives that shape who we are.

Meet Your Instructor
I’ve been teaching high school English for 15 years, and in that time, one thing has never changed—I love books, kids, and conversations about literature, life, and what it’s all even for.
I believe great teaching is deeply nerdy, irreverent, and engaging—a mix of insight, curiosity, and just enough chaos to keep things interesting. Literature is more than just stories on a page; it’s a way to understand ourselves and others, to think deeply, and to wrestle with big ideas. I want students to see books not as something to “get through” but as something worth engaging with, questioning, and even arguing about.
At One Day Ahead, I create resources, videos, and tools to support a love of literature—whether you’re a student trying to make sense of a novel, a teacher looking for classroom-ready materials, or just someone who believes that the best literary analysis is really just empathy in disguise. My goal is to help make literature feel alive, relevant, and worth the effort—because when we read well, we understand more than just a story. We understand people.
"I used to think lit analysis was just overthinking it, but this course made me realize there is something there worth figuring out."
